Have a quick question about dolly use need answer asap.?

Ok just wonder im 5'9 and im trying to see if i use a small dolly would it be easier to mover appliances if they are around 8 or 9 feet. I used a regular sized dolly about 5 foot and i can get it up and going but when putting back flat on the floor its a pain. Cause i think it might tip over but question is would i have more control of it if i used a slightly shorter one. will select best answer tonight
