How will the kids deal with this?

me and my wife after 8 years just cant seem to make it together when we are a part things are good with us and the kids are great.well any ways i moved out and we are both going to the same lawyer to get this over with so we can find the right person in our lifes before we get to old.any ways we worked it out so that i will get our kids 3 days one week and 4 the next she will have the sole custody with me having joint legal.she did not want any shild support due to the fact that we will ahve them equail time but i told her no less than 200. and it could just go into a savings for the kids down the line.so seeing that we are good friends now how will our kids be growing up in life with out both parents?i still and will always love my wike but things just dont work that way with us..anyone got any ideas about this. and thank you for you time.
