I7 2630QM 2.0 Ghz and overclocking it.?

So i just recently bought a new laptop with the new i7 2630QM 2.0 Ghz and i noticed it can overclock to i believe up to 2.9ghz. I was just wondering if over clocking it often could cause any drawbacks or anything of the sort.
