Help With Breeding Rabbits?

Hi my friend is giving me a female rabbit that is 1 year old and i have a male that is three years old. So what i want to know is can the male breed with the female and if yes will it be acceptable to buy an igloo for the mom to have her babies in? And would it be better if she had her babies inside in a cage or outside in a hutch?
